Today I’m stealth-launching my newest middle grade novel, How I Saved the World—and I’m so excited (and maybe a little terrified?) to finally let this book loose into the world.

I’ve been living with Eleanor Fox for a long time, and I have to say: she is a LOT.

She’s 12. She’s been YouTube-famous since she was a baby. And she’s the star of FoxTrotters, the family channel that turns their animal-rescue missions into serious money for endangered species.

Then, at a huge Earth Day Festival in Central Park, Eleanor freezes onstage.

And just when she needs things to go right, a fame-hungry former reality star swoops in and steals her spotlight, her sponsor, and the money her favorite animals desperately need.

So Eleanor decides she’s going to expose him as a fraud.

There’s just one small problem: she needs help.

Enter a mysterious super-fan—and a wild scavenger hunt across New York City involving hidden alleyways, secret passages, pop-up cafés, and clues tucked into places no one would think to look.

Soon Eleanor is racing to save her channel, her reputation, and the animals she loves.

Nothing is off limits.

I wrote How I Saved the World for readers 10 and up who love funny, fast-paced adventures with heart—and for anyone who has ever wondered what happens when the version of yourself that the world sees doesn't quite match the person you really are.

It’s about fame and friendship, animals and adventure, figuring out who you can trust, and discovering that sometimes saving the world starts with simply deciding to try.

And now, after all this time, Eleanor is yours.
